IVCA Draft Racing Rules – AGM

Good Morning all.

As part of an on-going upgrade to the IVCA website, the Board has been reviewing the information which is available on the site -or which could be added to the site – for the benefit of members.
Some updating of the IVCA’s Racing Rules was considered necessary to reflect the manner in which the IVCA currently runs its events. The previous set of Rules have not been updated for 10 years.
The AGM provides an opportunity to share with members the work which has been undertaken to date. The draft updated Racing Rules are attached for information.
This document reflects the manner in which the IVCA currently organises its events. It sets out the different types of races which are run and the responsibilities and duties of members participating in those events.
It is intended to publish the final version of the updated Racing Rules rules ahead of the 2025 racing season.  See below link.

The Board would be happy get members’ initial feedback on the document at the AGM on Sunday 22nd September. You can also submit your feedback by e-mail to the Race Committee at racecom@theivca.com up to 13th October 2024.

Kind regards

IVCA Board

Hi all,
The IVCA invites you to take part in the ninth tour of the IVCA Dick O’Brien Leisure League – The Joe Hoare Reliability Tour -2024 on September 8th next Sunday
NOTE – Sign on from 09.30 am with a 10.00am departure time from the Grasshopper pub car park, Clonee, Co.Meath.

The route will be announced on the day and should be approx. 60-70 km.
