The 5th Round of the Dick O’Brien Leisure League took place on 14th May. This was the last event prior to the Granddaddy of them all – the Wicklow 200 which takes place on 11th June. The route took the riders through some of the most scenic parts of Co. Wicklow, with some tough climbs to contend with as well. See Tony Pearson’s report on the spin below. Well done to all who completed this very demanding route.

A fine morning with the wind a bit in the south west which was not as expected.
Always a tough return trip on this course. Ian well clear of the bunch on age standard but the next four within a minute of each other.
Three manage to beat handicap Noel, Brendan and Ian ( O’Hara ) managing very minor improvements but not too take away from the pleasure of a new current PB.
We have a break from TTing for a couple of weeks now with the next event being the Hattons Circuit TT at Summerhill / Kilcock on the 17th and a rest before this challenging test is no harm 🙂
Phil.
