Advance Notice of Annual General Meeting 2022 – Sunday 18th Sept

 See below notice for our AGM, and also the Agenda of the meeting is also below.
 
Advance Notice of Annual General Meeting

The Annual General Meeting of the Irish Veteran Cyclists Association Company Limited by Guarantee will take place this year on:

Sunday 18th September 2021 at Dunsany GAA club, Dunsany, Co. Meath, commencing at 12.00 pm.

 
The AGM will focus on the statutory affairs of the company and will be followed by a separate informal meeting to allow members to discuss sporting activities (i.e. racing, time trials, touring) and other operational matters of the IVCA.
 
The following members are presenting themselves for election to the Board of Directors of the company for the next 12 months:

The election of each of these nominees will be voted on separately.

The following members are retiring from the Board this year; (to be confirmed). 

Resolutions in relation to company matters, and proposals for discussion in relation to sporting activities, should be sent by email only to:

 
before 5pm on Friday 26th August 2022.
 
Any member wishing to be nominated as a Director should also forward their expression of interest to that email address by 5pm on Friday 26th August 2021.
 
When forwarding resolutions, we would ask members to make every effort to appear in person at the AGM to provide the rationale behind any such resolution. We would also ask that resolutions submitted provide an assessment of what financial and personnel resources may be required, and that the proposers indicate to what extent they would be available to volunteer their assistance with regard to the proposal, e.g. serving on the Board.
 
Documentation for the AGM will be circulated to members by email only, three weeks in advance of the meeting. See attached file for provisional agenda.

Preliminary Result TueR_12 2nd August 2022 Dorey’s Forge

Due to the Meath Ladies winning team visiting Rathmoylon GAA Club we were forced to make a decision to change our course for the final Tuesday evening race of the 2022 season.  We had a decent turnout for a Tuesday evening in August, and some great racing across all groups.

As we approach the end of the Tuesday night league (one more race to go), we are able to offer you the preliminary results from this weeks race, which took place on the Green Sheds circuit.  Sadly, our last post-race visit to the Hatchet Inn for a pint of protein, although we’ll be back at this much loved venue for a Sunday race shortly.

Preliminary Results SR_12 17th July 2022 Beehive/Jack White’s

Hi all,

A bit of a change to the normal Beehive course for us this week, with a change of venue to Jack White’s (great coffee, I thought!) and a different finish line.  Same rough surface on part of the course though, so if anyone knows the team at Wicklow CoCo can they ask for a re-surface of Ballinclare please, and also fill the potholes on the L1113!

So, down to the results.  Hopefully we’ve got these correct as we had 2 handicap groups so trying to pick out riders from each one on the line can be a challenge.    As with each of the preliminary results we post, assistance is required to fill the gaps.  Please email racecomm@theivca.com and we’ll make any necessary changes before publishing the final results later this week.

A special thanks to the marshals, who turned out to do their bit, and of course to the officials on the night.  Well done to all, and congratulations to the winners in each group.

And finally, a special ‘well done’ to Joe Hollingsworth of Usher/IRC for winning the Millennium Cup as winner of the White’s race.
