IVCA RR8 Results Sunday 22nd August 2021 – Hatchet-Dorey’s Forge circuit

Hi Everyone,
Another good tough day out today.
Good weather conditions.
Thank you from the Race committee for your support and your co-operation,
Thank you to the Paramedics, Motorbike marshals and the staff at the Hatchet pub for your great support.
Thanks to our marshals for keeping everyone safe.
Thanks to Brendan Culleton for the photos and the Photo Finish.
Numbers were down so we merged the Blacks and Oranges into 1 race with the Oranges starting with a 6-minute handicap.
Two small crash incidents on the day, thankfully the riders involved are OK.
The winners from each race who received a Winner’s  Medal are as follows.
RACE 1 BLACK Mark Heather.
RACE 1 ORANGE: John McCann.
RACE 2 Mick Cusack.
RACE 3. David Murnane.
RACE 4 Derek McCullagh.
Next Sunday 29th August  The Beehive circuit.

IVCA RR 7 Results Sunday 15th August 2021 the Beehive circuit.

Hi Everyone ,
Mixed weather  today at The Beehive,
It picked up for the finishes and was warm.
Thank you from the Race committee for your support and your co-operation,

Advance Notice of Annual General Meeting 2021

The Annual General Meeting of the Irish Veteran Cyclists Association Company Limited by Guarantee will take place this year on:
Sunday 19th September 2021 at the Beehive Pub, Coolbeg Crossroads, Rathnew, Co. Wicklow, commencing at 12.00pm

 The AGM will focus on the statutory affairs of the company, and will be followed by a separate, informal meeting, to allow members to discuss sporting activities (i.e. racing, time trials, touring) and other operational matters of the IVCA.

 The following members are presenting themselves for election to the Board of Directors of the company for the next 12 months:

Terry Ryan*
Ian Cassidy*
Quentin Jansen*
Brendan Culleton*
Thomas O’Connell*
Stephen Bradley*
(* Current Directors)

The election of each of these nominees will be voted on separately.
Ger Madden is retiring from the Board this year. 

Resolutions in relation to company matters, and proposals for discussion in relation to sporting activities, should be sent by email only to:

before 5pm on Friday 27th August 2021.

Any member wishing to be nominated as a Director should also forward their expression of interest to that email address by 5pm on Friday 27th August 2021.
In particular, this year we are seeking nominations from anyone who would be interested in volunteering for the position of Director with special responsibility as Race Director, who would also be a Director of the Company. 
When forwarding resolutions, we would ask members to make every effort to appear in person at the AGM to provide the rationale behind any such resolution. We would also ask that resolutions submitted provide an assessment of what financial and personnel resources may be required, and that the proposers indicate to what extent they would be available to volunteer their assistance with regard to the proposal, e.g. serving on the Board.
 
Documentation for the AGM will be circulated to members by email only, three weeks in advance of the meeting. See attached file for provisional agenda.

100 in 8 Tour Sunday 8th August 2021

Hi All,

The next round of the IVCA Leisure League is on this Sunday

The 100 in 8 Tour, Sunday 8 August 09.00am depart, The Grasshopper, Clonee.
Distance aprox 160km. Food stop in Delvin, co Westmeath.

All participants must have at least one vaccination shot and government Covid protocols will apply.
