Race Details – RRL_10 Sun May 26 DMS IVCA Carlow

Hi all,

Tomorrow’s race rolls out from Tougher’s Restaurant in Carlow at 9.00am.
Exit “Carlow north” on M9 motorway.

This is the first visit to Carlow for the IVCA and the Race committee are very grateful to Fergal Kennedy for his fantastic work in organising this race.
This is the same circuit as”Ras Ceatharlach” – CI race from September last year, some of you may have ridden it then.

Marshal sign on and briefing between 8.00am and 8.30am so arrive  on time for instructions as this is a new circuit.
Tea, coffee and sandwiches will be available after the race in Tougher’s so hope to see you all there.

Mind the Gaps Tour- Sun 12th May

The next leisure tour “Mind the Gaps” is scheduled for next Sunday 12th May starting at 9:00 am from Cycle Superstore on the Airton Road Tallaght. Click here for a map of the location.

The route will be the same as last year: Tallaght – Blessington – Hollywood – Left at Hollywood towards Glendalough – Laragh (opportunity for tea stop) – Glenmacnass (take a left immediately on leaving Laragh on the Roundwood Road) – Sally Gap – Manor Kilbride – Tallaght.

The route is a little over 100 Km. Care is advised on the descents, particularly off the Sally Gap. This is a tough mountainous cycle, but an ideal preparation for anyone planning to ride the Wicklow 200/100 in June.

Sat, May 4, 2019, sign on from 8:30 1st rider off at 9:30

Sign-on Hatchet Inn

Hatchet Inn
R156, Barstown, Co. Meath

Start at Just East of Hatchett Inn Car Park. Strictly no warming up on the course!

Proceed east to R156 / R157 roundabout at Dunboyne. Turn with due care and retrace to finish opposite start at Hatchett Inn.

Finish is marked on the road and also on an adjacent fence post.

Marshals are located at the roundabout at Dunboyne ( 3 ) and at the junction with L2215 (to Batterstown ). May be needed at Dunboyne AFC if there is match traffic.  Say 6 in total. Officials at start, timekeeper, assistant, pusher off and start steward.  Two timekeepers and assistants may be required dependant on number of starters.

RRL_07 DMS Dermot McGrath Memorial – Race Details

RRL_07  Sunday , May 5th 2019
DMS Dermot McGrath Mem 75 km.

Sunday’s race takes us to the wilds of Wicklow to new race circuit, some of the TT crew will be familiar with most of the circuit. It’s tough road back up !!

Sign On is at the Beehive Inn – Coolbeg Crossroads, Rathnew, Co. Wicklow

Please note that the exit from the M11 motorway is Exit 18. The Beehive pub is at the 2nd roundabout off the motorway

Marshals please arrive at 8:30 or before, maps will be available with course details. Also see below
